today we enjoyed balboa pier on balboa island, after a short ferry ride in the car. we had breakfast at ruby's on the pier, before coleman and hampton insisted on testing the ocean! it was a chilly morning! we ended up in laguna beach, where we had a fun day on the beach and lunch at bj's pizza. the boys dug a very deep hole (even got a talking to from the locals), which garry insisted on digging deeper. if only i had captured his attempt to jump out of the hole! too funny! the kids had fun building sandcastles and playing in the sand...but didn't so much appreciate the seaweed that drifted ashore...ick! i agree! this is the one thing i remember about the pacific during childhood...the seaweed getting tangled in my feet...eeewww! we completed the day with family pics on the beach at the montage (on an unseasonably cool and windy evening) before a wonderful mexican dinner at avila's el ranchito. a fun day all in all!
i am the proud mother of three beautiful gifts from heaven (austin 12, coleman 7, and hampton 3). i am happy to be a "stay at home" mom, though i rarely stay at home!
thanks to my wonderful husband, garry (who by the way is "super dad") and his hard work within the ethanol industry, i am gradually, & proudly, trying to "go green!"
since i am so fortunate to have this extraordinary opportunity to help raise our children, i am happy to do whatever i can to make this world even more beautiful for them! i have been blessed beyond measure!
