9 of coleman's buddies from school and football, helped him celebrate his 9th birthday at gehrer performance center. they had fun playing flag football, before a gatorade, hot dog, chips & cupcake break! what a great group of boys, who get along so well! and an easy party as well...a few balloons, food...and that was it! a win-win celebration all around! mema, papa, aunt juju, uncle t, and evie joined in the festivities, which is always more fun! happy birthday, "c-man" (as he signed his thank you notes). what a wonderful nine years it has been, with such a friendly, silly, kind, loving boy. i could not be more proud!
hampton enjoyed a special afternoon with evie today, while aunt ju ju and uncle t attended a meeting! the girls quickly ran to the toy room and dress up area to transform into the true princesses that they are! i was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with cinderella AND sleeping beauty! we played the "oh i've lost my shoe, whatever will i do" game...reinacting the glass slipper (many times). evie was certain that the shoe fit her best (funny thing is, her tiny little toes peered completely out of the front of the shoes)! needless to say, there were many giggles amidst a few screams, accompanied by a royal marshmallow treat and finally a few dances at the ball. hampton asked me..."mom, how did daddy dance with you when he took you to the ball?" (hmmm, good question...not sure i remember that!?!) of course, i showed her exactly what she wished to see!
