sumo celebration of 14

 

 

 

austin and three of his good friends celebrated his 14th birthday at sumo...a japanese steakhouse (favorite of all three kiddos). we missed another friend, who left for vacation yesterday! the summer has been so busy for everyone, which explains the delayed celebration! the boys had a great time, and enjoyed more food than i can even begin to explain! it is crazy to think that they are growing into young men. i am sooo not ready! the evening was filled with fun, until two of the four had to escape to yet another basketball game. happy birthday sweet austin! i still think of you like you are 4...not 14!

happy july 4

 

due to the inclement weather this morning, that literally rained on the parade we planned to be a part of with jen, trev & evie...we made other arrangements. we met for breakfast, before a little shopping! thankful that we could coax the kids into a pic! it turned out to be a fun family day, regardless! the rain is still coming down...so the fireworks must wait for another night! happy independence day to all...and many thanks to those who selflessly serve our great country!

tourney champs

the jazz...tourney champions! austin was the single player to bring home the team trophy. according to his coach, "he earned it!" what an honor, and a privilege, honestly...that austin has the opportunity to play on such a well-coached team! the jazz played one game on friday night, followed by four games on saturday. by the final game on saturday, austin complained of leg cramps, but pushed through to help the jazz (a team of almost 8th graders) conquer a team of almost freshmen! a strong victory in the end. many congrats to the jazz on a job well done!
