95 candles
we completed our very special fourth of july with a birthday bash for gaga (my grandma). gaga's 95th celebration was complete with extraordinary decorations, fabulous food, wonderful company, and musical accompaniment to boot! toward the end of the queen of heart's evening, gaga proudly joined in the traditional hawaiian chant with my dad and his sister "lala." a morris event would just not be complete without it! it is quite amazing to even begin to believe that my gaga is 95 years old...she doesn't seem a day past the age when i remember her! she continues to live life to the fullest...doing just as she pleases! hooray for gaga! (perhaps she'll teach me bridge one of these days!?!) fireworks followed the birthday celebration, and i have no pics to share (my camera was extra tired!)...oh well, it was a full and fun day, nonetheless!

god bless america
the fourth of july this year began with a bang, at a parade in my sister jen's neighborhood. what a fun time for all, as we loved sharing the day with my brother rich, sister-in-law renee, and niece sallie too! jen made loolabelle dresses for the three girls, hampton, evie and sallie, and they looked absolutely adorable! they won the prize for best wagon...the ooo's and ahhh's from the bystanders were priceless! austin proudly pulled the three cute girls the entire parade route, repeatedly checking to make sure the girls remained seated. coleman rode his dirtbike, with noisy coke cans trailing behind, and was quite a hit! after the parade, we ventured to breakfast as a large group of fourteen, which included our friends, the smith family! yeah...we started the day with a bang, and will conclude the day with a star spangled evening with the rest of the family, in honor of my grandmother, gaga's 95th birthday! what a blessing it is to live in america! stars and stripes forever!
