a legacy lives on
it is with great sadness that i dedicate today's blog to my dear uncle, ted morris. he passed away on tuesday, december 30, 2008, after suffering a massive heart attack on stage the night prior to his new show opening. he was seventy years old, a mere two days shy of his seventy-first birthday. ted founded the crown uptown professional dinner theatre in wichita, kansas, which he purchased in 1977. he produced hundreds of musicals, shows, and comedies since the theatre's opening. he was an extremely talented, kind, and gentle man who will be missed terribly. to quote from "pippin," "don't ask where i am going, just listen when i am gone, and far away you'll hear me singing in the dawn." may God bless you ted, and your precious family...for your legacy will never die.
